Silage bag ("sausage")

The first silo bags made from 7 layers of film (SmartStructure®), which gives extra strength; the bag is UV stabilised for up to 24 months. Used for silage, haylage, ensiled grain, brewer's grains and beet pulp.

The introduction of silo bags, or haylage "sausages", in agriculture set a new standard for protecting large quantities, with one of the most comprehensive solutions for storing grain, silage and farm produce, even in the most challenging conditions.

Silo bags include the premium 7-layer SmartStructure® technology, offering 50% more puncture resistance than the previous 3-layer generations and 40% more resistance to crushing. Field-tested in all weather for use in harsh winters and high temperatures, and guaranteed to withstand 24 months of UV exposure. In addition, improved oxygen barrier properties protect the silage and grain.

Silo bags are compatible with all silage baggers and high-capacity grain baggers, so the bags can be filled in the field to save time, labour, storage and fuel costs.

The silo bags are FDA certified and made from approved resins suitable for all human and animal food.
