Anti-hail nets

Anti-hail nets let fruit grow protected in intensive growing systems such as orchards.
Fixed to a support like a tent, or laid directly over the plants, the net gives adequate protection against hail damage. The anti-hail net is an active means of preserving and increasing the yield of early crops threatened by bad weather. It creates a favourable microclimate above the fruit that encourages the growth of early crops.
Under the net temperature differences are smaller, and frost condenses on the net structure and spares the crop beneath. The net softens strong gusts of wind, and large raindrops break up on it, softening their impact. Bird damage is reduced to a minimum.
