Operating the Easy Pack machine requires:

• one person working at the Easy Pack machine, i.e. clipping
• one person filling the hopper with weighed quantities; if filling from both sides, there can be two people

To pack as fast as possible, prepare the weighed quantities in advance, for example in containers already holding weighed product (1 kg, 2 kg). The person at the filler can then fill quickly so the person clipping never waits. The key is that the person clipping must never wait for the filler.
The person clipping pulls the lever towards them to start the machine, which cuts, clips and attaches a label to the product.
According to the manual, the capacity is 40 units per minute; this holds when everything is ideal – units ready, a new net loaded as soon as one runs out, and so on.
In our experience, with 2.5 kg of apples you can pack 800 kg per hour with one tube, and 1000 kg per hour with two tubes. With 1.5 kg packs more can be filled, as they are smaller and drop through the filler faster: 1000 kg per hour, and 1300 kg with two tubes. For 1.5 kg packs of onions and potatoes much more can be packed.
The machine itself is simple, with no periodic servicing and no wearing parts; it is important to keep the machine oiled and the cutting knife clean.
Since the machine runs on three-phase power, it is economical. It is light, so it can easily be moved from one place to another.
