VIADRAIN

ViaDRAIN is our range of geocomposites for longitudinal drainage in cuttings (roads, motorways, railways and main roads). It consists of a geonet with non-woven geotextile thermally bonded on both sides. The range is available in various densities and widths and can be adapted to drainage pipes of any diameter.

ViaDRAIN is a longitudinal drainage system. It is very long lasting, as the polymers it is made of – polyethylene and polypropylene – are chemically inert. Its low weight makes it easy to install.

ADVANTAGES OVER TRADITIONAL METHODS

ViaDRAIN has important advantages over the traditional method and over other geosynthetic drains.

• ViaDRAIN geodrains are always selected on the basis of technical studies showing that they can evacuate at least 1.5 times more water than the traditional solution.
• Its laying method allows the work to be carried out at any time from inside the cutting, giving extra safety to the installers. This is an advantage in deep trenches and on unstable ground.
• Installation output is three to four times higher than with a French drain.
• The patented open-edge system allows pipes of any diameter to be used (geodrains with a closed pocket are limited to a maximum pipe diameter of 250 mm).
