Tunnel waterproofing must be accompanied by an effective drainage system that intercepts and evacuates water quickly. This reduces hydrostatic pressure and stops water entering the tunnel through weak points in the structure.
In tunnels, the weight of the backfill puts great pressure on the structure. Its outstanding compressive performance, high drainage capacity and economical, quick and easy installation make INTER TECH DRAIN geosynthetics the most suitable technical and economic solution for this application.

INTERMAS offers two solutions for tunnel drainage:
1) With products from the GMF group (filtering/separating geotextile + drainage geonet + waterproof polyethylene film), drainage and waterproofing are guaranteed by a single product.

2) Alternatively, a waterproofing product (bituminous paint, waterproof geomembrane, bentonite blanket, etc.) can be combined with INTER TECH DRAIN GM-GMG, which performs the drainage, separation and filtration functions.

The film overlaps are easily made by heat-welding one roll to the next, guaranteeing continuous waterproofing.
